Kintsugi & the Omer Journey

Past Event

  • Kintsugi & the Omer Journey

  • The Jewish Women's Circle invites you to Kintsugi & the Omer Journey, featuring artist Laurel Brodkin!
Join us for an enriching evening where we'll immerse ourselves in the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi, the art of repairing broken pottery with gold, symbolizing the beauty of imperfection and resilience. As we engage in this transformative process, we'll draw parallels to the mystical journey of the Sefirot Ha'Omer, the counting of the Omer, a period of self-reflection and spiritual ascent in the Jewish tradition.

This evening promises not only a hands-on experience with Kintsugi but also a meaningful exploration of the interconnectedness between the mending of shattered ceramics and the spiritual journey of the Sefirot Ha'Omer. Let's come together, enjoy the company of fellow sisters, and create something beautiful as we reflect on the strength found in embracing our own broken pieces.
